Letter to Veterans

Dear soldiers of the past:

I cannot even begin to imagine what you must have endured while serving your country. The bombs, the gunfire- it would have driven me insane, I imagine. So many of you died, and some of you not even knowing what for. I would never have the resolve to do whay all of you did.

My highest regards,
Jordan Stoffel

10 important things everyone should know about the Korean War

1) No new borders were established

2)There was no clear winner

3)Millions died pointlessly

4)It was really a fight with North Korea and China against the U.S. alone. The U.N. and South Korea were only helping in theory.

Has MLK's "dream" been realized? - Labor

Are African Americans, Latino Americans, and cocasions all equal? According to a census reaching from 1980 to 2012, they're not exactly equal, but they are pretty close. About 66.3% of the white population was employed in 2004. African Americans' 63.8%, Asians' 65.9%, and Hispanic's 68.8% all come very near the white percentage.

Civil Disobedience

I would definitely have participated in civil disobedience because I think that it is the best and most productive way to rebel. People have the right under the Constitution to assemble peacefully. Not only are many forms civil disobedience legal, some are even supported by the Constitution. I think that civil disobedience was both right and appropriate.

Unit 8 Preview

I am looking foward to finding out more about the civil rights movements. I also think that it will be very cool using the web, instead of paper and notebooks, for this unit.
The Cold War, Vietnam, and Civil Rights are all going to be talked about, but I am not looking foward as much to learning about the Cold War.
